Bowling Gloves

One of the most common accessories used by intermediate to advanced bowlers is bowling gloves. These gloves cover the pointer and the pinky fingers, but leave the middle and ring finger exposed, so they can fit easily into the ball. The glove also covers the palm, enhancing grip and preventing the ball from sliding off the fingers too soon. Gloves also eliminate much of the need for chalk on the hands. Whether 8 or 14 lb bowling balls are used, a bowler who wears gloves can help protect hands from the strain of a poor release, which is why so many recreational and professional bowlers never bowl without them.
